The Brass Door

Discover

Our Story

The gleaming brass door has graced the entrance to 152 Madison Avenue since 1905. That door has been witness to bankers and real estate tycoons brokering deals. To newspapermen plying their wares. To tobacco enthusiasts throwing off their daily troubles with a long smoke.

Today, behind the Door you’ll find a meeting place, a haven and refuge for Memphians of all walks of life: Journalists and poets, Gooners, Outlaws, musicians, cab drivers, research scientists, law students, ball players and electricians. Expats searching for that little taste of home. And locals looking for that pub with a little something extra…a bit of extra heart.

The Brass Door…Where the world meets in Memphis.
